 TITLE=/ Double-pion production induced by deutron-proton collisions
         in the incident deutron momentum range 2.1-3.8 GeV/c /;
 PURPOSE=/ The purpose of this experiment is (1) to extend the
           analysis of d-p interactions to obtain the d-p double-pion
           production cross sections, and from them deduce the p-p and
           n-p double-pion production cross sections, (2) to analyze
           the N-N double-pion production data in terms of various
           production mechanisms such as N-N double-pion production
           with one nucleon in the deuteron and the other as the
           spectator nucleon, and two sequential N-N single-pion
           production reactions involving all two nucleons in the
           deuteron, and (3) to analyze the d-p double-pion production
           reactions as the sum of the N-N double-pion production
           reactions and two sequential N-N single-pion production
           reactions. /;
