          (A)HOW IMPORTANT IS THE INFLUENCE OF TARGET COMPOSITION ON THE
           FINAL DISTRIBUTION OF SPALLATION PRODUCTS, IN THE CASE OF
           MEDIUM-MASS TARGETS ? (B)THE EXCITATION FUNCTIONS FOR THE
           SPALLATION REACTIONS INCREASE RAPIDLY BETWEEN THE REACTION
           THRESHOLD AND ABOUT 1 GEV, THEN TEND TOWARDS AN ASYMPTOTIC
           VALUE, WITH NO SIGNIFICANT VARIATION BEING OBSERVED ABOVE
           ABOUT 10 GEV. IT IS YET TO BE DETERMINED, HOWEVER, WHETHER
           THE CROSS SECTIONS GO THROUGH A MAXIMUM SOMEWHERE IN THE 1 TO
           10 GEV INTERVAL./;
