During irradiation, the targets lay 1162400100026 flat against the monitor foil, both subtending the 1162400100027 same polar angle in the neutron beam. The neutron 1162400100028 flux was monitored relatively with a long counter at 1162400100029 120 degrees at a distance of 2 m from the source. The 1162400100030 relative cross sections so obtained were normalized 1162400100031 to those determined absolutely at the higher energies 1162400100032 in this work, by performing irradiations at 120 1162400100033 degrees with neutron energy high enough to overlap 1162400100034 those done in the forward direction. Following 1162400100035 irradiation, the disk-shaped targets were analysed 1162400100036 for their activation products either by counting 1162400100037 their beta-rays with an end-window proportional 1162400100038 counter, or by taking their gamma-ray spectra with a 1162400100039 4x4 in.
