The 1431000100019 thickness of the 235U was 175.5 mu-g/cm2 and the 1431000100020 backing thickness was 100 mu-g/cm2. 1431000100021 DETECTOR (BAF2)Gamma rays were detected by DANCE - a 4Pi 1431000100022 calorimetric gamma-ray detector. It consists of 160 1431000100023 BaF2 crystals, each about 0.75 l in volume and 15 cm 1431000100024 long. The face of each crystal is 17 cm from the 1431000100025 sample center.The sample is surrounded by a 6 cm thick 1431000100026 6LiH sphere to attenuate neutrons scattered from the 1431000100027 sample. 1431000100028 METHOD (TOF) Time of flight was used to determine energy 1431000100029 of incident neutrons. 1431000100030 INC-SOURCE (SPALL)Spallation reaction of tungsten target by 800 1431000100031 MeV protons was used as neutron source. A water 1431000100032 moderator shapes the neutron spectrum. The beam spot 1431000100033 at the sample location was about 1 cm in diameter. 1431000100034 ANALYSIS A composite flux was obtained by normalizing the flux 1431000100035 from 235U(n,f) to that from 6Li(n,t) over the region 1431000100036 from 3 to 10 keV.
