Time of flight was used to 1446200100020 determine scattered neutron energy and discriminate 1446200100021 against prompt gamma rays. 1446200100022 (PSD) The C6D6 liquid scintillator has pulse-shape 1446200100023 discrimination properties that allowed the separation 1446200100024 of neutron and unwanted gamma -ray events. 1446200100025 INC-SOURCE (P-T) for neutron energies below 5 MeV 1446200100026 (D-D) for neutron energies between 5 and 8 MeV 1446200100027 Accelerated ions impinged on a gas cell attached to 1446200100028 the end of the beam line that contained the tritium 1446200100029 or deuterium gas typically at 1 atm pressure. The 1446200100030 3-cm long gas cell assembly consisted of a tantalum 1446200100031 lined stainless steel cylinder with a 3.3-mu-m thick 1446200100032 molybdenum entrance foil window. 1446200100033 CORRECTION Data were corrected for selfabsorption and 1446200100034 multiple scattering 1446200100035 ERR-ANALYS (ERR-1,0.,5.)
