Pleasant, 1447600100011 Michigan 1447600100012 REFERENCE (J,JP/G,44,044002,2017) 1447600100013 FACILITY (CYCTM,1USAMSU) Experiment took place at the National 1447600100014 Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory, at Michigan 1447600100015 State University 1447600100016 DETECTOR (NAICR) Surrounding the implantation point was the 1447600100017 Summing NaI detector SuN. SuN is a cylindrical 1447600100018 NaI(Tl) scintillator, 16 inches in height and 16 1447600100019 inches in diameter, with a 1.7 inch borehole along 1447600100020 its axis. SuN is segmented into eight, optically 1447600100021 isolated segments, four above and four below the beam 1447600100022 axis. 1447600100023 (SCIN) Plastic scintillation detector was placed in 1447600100024 focal plane of A1900 fragment separator to measure 1447600100025 time of flight and energy loss for event-by-event 1447600100026 idetification of 69Co ions. 1447600100027 (SI) Two Si PIN detectors located upstream of the 1447600100028 implantation point were used for time of flight 1447600100029 measurement for ion identification. 1447600100030 (SISD) The beam ions were implanted in a 1 mm thick 1447600100031 double sided silicon strip detector. 1447600100032 METHOD The present work reports on indirect measurement 1447600100033 that provides strong constraints on the 1447600100034 68Ni(n,gamma)69Ni reaction rate. Population of 1447600100035 compound nucleus 69Ni via the beta decay of 69Co and 1447600100036 measuring the gamma-ray deexcitation of excited 1447600100037 states in 69Ni. The beta-Oslo method was used to 1447600100038 extract the gamma-ray strength function and the 1447600100039 nuclear level density. 1447600100040 INC-SOURCE A 86Kr primary beam was accelerated to 140 MeV/A at 1447600100041 the Coupled Cyclotron Facility, and was impinged on a 1447600100042 Be production target. The A1900 fragment separator 1447600100043 was used to select the isotope of interest 69Co as 1447600100044 part of a cocktail consisting of approximately twelve 1447600100045 isotopes in this mass region. 69Co ions were identified1447600100046 event-by-event based on energy loss and time-of-flight 1447600100047 information 1447600100048 HISTORY (20171003C) Compiled by S.H. 1447600100049 ENDBIB 47 0 1447600100050 NOCOMMON 0 0 1447600100051 ENDSUBENT 50 0 1447600199999 SUBENT 14476002 20171003 14381447600200001 BIB 3 4 1447600200002 REACTION (28-NI-69(0,0),,LD) 1447600200003 STATUS (TABLE) Data taken from tab. 2 of the reference 1447600200004 MISC-COL (MISC1) Lower limit of level density 1447600200005 (MISC2) Upper limit of level density 1447600200006 ENDBIB 4 0 1447600200007 NOCOMMON 0 0 1447600200008 DATA 4 13 1447600200009 E-EXC DATA MISC1 MISC2 1447600200010 MEV 1/MEV 1/MEV 1/MEV 1447600200011 0.2 1.6 1.3 1.6 1447600200012 0.6 2.6 2.4 2.7 1447600200013 1.0 3.6 3.5 3.6 1447600200014 1.4 3.1 3.2 3.0 1447600200015 1.8 1.8 1.9 1.7 1447600200016 2.2 2.8 3.3 2.6 1447600200017 2.6 4.8 6.0 4.5 1447600200018 3.0 11.9 15.8 10.7 1447600200019 3.4 20.0 28.3 17.7 1447600200020 3.8 23.9 36.1 20.6 1447600200021 4.2 74.8 120.0 63.0 1447600200022 4.6 187.6 320.5 154.6 1447600200023 5.0 169.6 278.2 139.7 1447600200024 ENDDATA 15 0 1447600200025 ENDSUBENT 24 0 1447600299999 SUBENT 14476003 20171003 14381447600300001 BIB 3 4 1447600300002 REACTION (28-NI-68(N,G)28-NI-69,,SGV) 1447600300003 STATUS (TABLE) Data taken from tab. 3 of the reference 1447600300004 MISC-COL (MISC1) Lower bound of reaction rate 1447600300005 (MISC2) Upper bound of reaction rate 1447600300006 ENDBIB 4 0 1447600300007 NOCOMMON 0 0 1447600300008 DATA 4 30 1447600300009 KT DATA MISC1 MISC2 1447600300010 K9 CM3/S/MOL CM3/S/MOL CM3/S/MOL 1447600300011 0.0001 7.00E+05 1.29E+06 4.52E+05 1447600300012 0.0005 4.24E+05 7.51E+05 2.85E+05 1447600300013 0.001 3.41E+05 5.88E+05 2.33E+05 1447600300014 0.005 2.44E+05 4.11E+05 1.68E+05 1447600300015 0.01 2.06E+05 3.51E+05 1.41E+05 1447600300016 0.05 1.52E+05 2.63E+05 1.02E+05 1447600300017 0.10 1.38E+05 2.41E+05 9.10E+04 1447600300018 0.15 1.30E+05 2.29E+05 8.40E+04 1447600300019 0.20 1.24E+05 2.21E+05 8.00E+04 1447600300020 0.25 1.20E+05 2.14E+05 7.70E+04 1447600300021 0.3 1.16E+05 2.09E+05 7.40E+04 1447600300022 0.4 1.12E+05 2.02E+05 7.10E+04 1447600300023 0.5 1.09E+05 1.97E+05 6.90E+04 1447600300024 0.6 1.07E+05 1.94E+05 6.80E+04 1447600300025 0.7 1.06E+05 1.93E+05 6.70E+04 1447600300026 0.8 1.06E+05 1.92E+05 6.70E+04 1447600300027 0.9 1.06E+05 1.93E+05 6.70E+04 1447600300028 1.0 1.07E+05 1.94E+05 6.70E+04 1447600300029 1.5 1.15E+05 2.10E+05 7.20E+04 1447600300030 2.0 1.29E+05 2.35E+05 7.90E+04 1447600300031 2.5 1.47E+05 2.70E+05 8.90E+04 1447600300032 3.0 1.70E+05 3.14E+05 1.01E+05 1447600300033 3.5 1.99E+05 3.70E+05 1.17E+05 1447600300034 4.0 2.36E+05 4.44E+05 1.36E+05 1447600300035 5.0 3.44E+05 6.67E+05 1.87E+05 1447600300036 6.0 4.91E+05 9.87E+05 2.52E+05 1447600300037 7.0 6.03E+05 1.25E+06 2.94E+05 1447600300038 8.0 5.72E+05 1.22E+06 2.68E+05 1447600300039 9.0 4.36E+05 9.44E+05 1.98E+05 1447600300040 10.0 3.02E+05 6.63E+05 1.34E+05 1447600300041 ENDDATA 32 0 1447600300042 ENDSUBENT 41 0 1447600399999 ENDENTRY 3 0 1447699999999
