The BaF2 crystal has fast (0.6 ns)1448100100041 and slow (600 ns) scintillation light output 1448100100042 components. The fast timing of the scintillators 1448100100043 leads to a precise determination of the neutron time 1448100100044 of flight and a good identification of coincident 1448100100045 gamma rays following neutron capture. 1448100100046 METHOD (TOF) Incident neutron energy was determined by time 1448100100047 of flight method. 1448100100048 MONITOR (92-U-235(N,F),,SIG) 1448100100049 INC-SOURCE (SPALL) The neutron beam at LANSCE is produced by the 1448100100050 spallation reaction of 800 MeV accelerated protons 1448100100051 irradiating a tungsten target and is moderated in a 1448100100052 water moderator. The neutron energy is calculated 1448100100053 based on the flight time, a 20.28 m flight path 1448100100054 length, and a 523 ns delay time after the T0 pulse, 1448100100055 generated when the proton
