Stability of the pulse-height was achieved 2226100100031 using a pulsed light-emitting diode. The target reso- 2226100100032 lution was about 16% for several MeV recoiling protons2226100100033 (NAICR) The capture gamma-rays were detected with three2226100100034 NaI detectors, placed at angles of 55, 90 and 125 deg-2226100100035 rees in the laboratory system. The dimensions of the 2226100100036 crystals were 16 x 16 x 24 cm3. The detectors were 2226100100037 actively shielded with plastic scintillators, and had 2226100100038 also heavy passive shields. The detectors were cali- 2226100100039 brated using gamma-rays from reactions on carbon in 2226100100040 the NE213 target. The background from scattered neu- 2226100100041 trons were rejected by Time-Of-Flight techniques. The 2226100100042 detector resolution was about 6% for 15.11 MeV 2226100100043 gamma-rays. Stability of the pulse-height was achieved2226100100044 using a pulsed light-emitting diode.
