The tritium-titanium (T- 3274500100011 Ti) target was 2.18 mg/cm2 thick. 3274500100012 DETECTOR (HPGE) The well calibrated HPGE detector (ORTEC, made 3274500100013 in USA) has a relative efficiency of ~68% and an 3274500100014 energy resolution of 1.7 keV (FWHM) at 1.33 MeV. The 3274500100015 uncertainty in the absolute efficiency curve at 5.5 3274500100016 cm was estimated to be ~2%. 3274500100017 SAMPLE The samples (ThO2 powder of 99.5% purity) pressed 3274500100018 into circular disks with a diameter of 2.0 cm were 3274500100019 bombarded about half an hour. The thickness of sample 3274500100020 was 1.0 mm and 1.3 mm. Each of them was sandwiched 3274500100021 between two monitor aluminum (thin Al foil of 99.99% 3274500100022 purity) foils. 3274500100023 METHOD (ACTIV) The neutrons fluence rate was about 4 E10n/s. 3274500100024 The bombardment for 38.0 min was followed by cooling 3274500100025 (4.7 min) and gamma ray accumlation (10.7 min). Two 3274500100026 samples were placed at 50 and 135 degree angles 3274500100027 relative to the deuterium beam direction and 3.5 cm 3274500100028 far from the T-Ti target. 3274500100029 MONITOR (13-AL-27(N,A)11-NA-24,,SIG) 3274500100030 DECAY-MON (11-NA-24,,DG,1368.7,1.00) 3274500100031 CORRECTION Corrected for self-absorption, geometry and 3274500100032 coincidence sum effect. 3274500100033 ERR-ANALYS (ERR-T) The errors mainly come from the uncertainty 3274500100034 of the detection efficiency, the cross section of 3274500100035 27Al(n,a)24Na reaction and the statistical error of 3274500100036 counts in full energy peaks.
