The chamber was filled with high purity 3309000100019 argon gas to a pressure of 1 atm. 3309000100020 METHOD (COINC) 1H, 3H and 4He were detected in coincidence 3309000100021 with fission fragments. 3309000100022 INC-SOURCE (P-LI7) To get keV neutrons 3309000100023 (P-T) 5 cm thick paraffin block was used to get 3309000100024 thermal neutrons. 3309000100025 PART-DET (P,T,A,FF) Proton, Triton, Alpha particle and Fission 3309000100026 fragments were detected. 3309000100027 ANALYSIS Particle identification from Delta E- E detector was 3309000100028 done by defining a parameter PI=(E+ Delta-E)**1.76- 3309000100029 E**1.76. This gave three distinct peaks for proton, 3309000100030 triton and alpha particles. The peaks corresponding 3309000100031 to protons, tritons and alpha-particles were 3309000100032 identified by carrying out a Monte Carlo calculation 3309000100033 for the geometrical configuration of the source 3309000100034 detector assembly and using the known energy spectra 3309000100035 of these particles in the thermal neutron fission. 3309000100036 ERR-ANALYS (DATA-ERR) No information is given. 3309000100037 COMMENT By Compiler, the neutron energies mentioned in the 3309000100038 text are 120, 180, 230 and 550 keV. However, the 3309000100039 neutron energies given in the figures are 150, 217, 3309000100040 230 and 550 keV. Digitizaion results are close to 150, 3309000100041 217, 230 and 550 keV.
