A010800100029 COMMENT - By Authors - Abstract A010800100030 Projectile fission of 750 A*MeV 238-U-ions interacting A010800100031 with a Pb target was studied by means of the A010800100032 spectrometer FRS, GSI-Darmstadt. One of the two A010800100033 fission fragments was detected with a transmission of A010800100034 few percent and identified in mass and charge. A010800100035 Low-energy fission (E* <25 MeV) events were selected byA010800100036 their magnetic rigidity. Whereas the production of A010800100037 asymmetric fission events is dominated by the GQR A010800100038 excitation, very asymmetric fission and symmetric A010800100039 fission take place after a GQR or DGDR excitation or A010800100040 after a nuclear interaction. Cross sections of more A010800100041 than 250 isotopes were measured. Isotopic A010800100042 distributions of low-energy fission were reconstructed A010800100043 for elements from Se to Te. The fission modes SI, SII A010800100044 and SL were clearly shown in these distributions and inA010800100045 the mass and TKE distributions.
