The 1853 keV gamma-line, however, A023200200023 is not emitted in the decay of 76As. A023200200024 Measurement of the decay of 1853 keV shows a A023200200025 half-life of 15.7 hr, a value comparable to the A023200200026 accepted one of 16.0 hr. The 559 keV line shows a A023200200027 longer half-life (e.g., 17.2 hr). 76As, however, A023200200028 does not emit any strong gamma-line which is not A023200200029 given out in the decay of 76Br. Using the 559 keV A023200200030 alpha-line the total activity due to 76Br + 76As was A023200200031 determined and the contribution of 76As was obtained A023200200032 by subtraction (see REL-REF). A023200700019 Since most of the gamma-lines of 76Br are the same A023200700020 as those in the decay of 76As, both decaying to 76Se, A023200700021 and 76As is formed simultaneously by the (3he,2p) and A023200700022 (alpha,2pn) reactions, respectively, we had to use A023200700023 for 76Br the relatively weak line of 1853 keV (14.0%) A023200700024 with lower detection efficiency instead of the strongerA023200700025 ones 559 keV (72.4%) and 657 keV (15.5%). The 1853 keVA023200700026 gamma-line, however, is not emitted in the decay of A023200700027 76As. Measurement of the decay of 1853 keV shows a A023200700028 half-life of 15.7 hr, a value comparable to the A023200700029 accepted one of 16.0 hr the 559 keV line shows a A023200700030 longer half-life (e.g.,17.2 hr). 76As, however, does A023200700031 not emit any strong gamma-line which is not given A023200700032 out in the decay of 76Br. Using the 559 keV gamma-line A023200700033 the total activity due to 76Br+76As was determined and A023200700034 the contribution of 76As was obtained by subtraction.
