C029000100019 METHOD (TOF) The energy of a neutron produced in the target C029000100020 was determined by the time-of-flight (TOF) technique. C029000100021 We measured the time difference between the detection C029000100022 of a neon ion in a scintillator beam telescope and C029000100023 the detection of a neutron in one of four counters C029000100024 located 3-6 m from the target. The neutron energy was C029000100025 calculated from the TOF of the neutron measured C029000100026 relative to the observed prompt gamma peak in each C029000100027 TOF spectrum. Absolute neutron cross sections were C029000100028 obtained by counting the number of neon ions which C029000100029 passed through the beam telescope. C029000100030 ERR-ANALYS (ERR-T) The experimental uncertainties are divided intoC029000100031 statistical and normalization uncertainties. C029000100032 (ERR-S,,30.)
