The ions of interest C168900100011 were produced in light-ion induced fusion reactions C168900100012 at the IGISOL facility C168900100013 INC-SOURCE (KINDT) 26Si nuclei were produced in reaction C168900100014 27Al(p,2n)26Si. The recoiling products were stopped, C168900100015 thermalized and extracted from the IGISOL gas cell, C168900100016 accelerated, magnetically separated and 26Si ions C168900100017 transported to the JYFLTRAP setup. The beam was C168900100018 cooled, purified and 26Si ions were transported into C168900100019 a high precision Penning trap. C168900100020 METHOD Penning trap allows wery precise determination of C168900100021 charged particle masses. In this experiment it was C168900100022 used to meaasure masses of singly charged 26Si ions C168900100023 and its decay products 25mAl and 25Al. From the mass C168900100024 values, resonance properties of 26Si were determined. C168900100025 HISTORY (20090421C) Compiled by S.H.
