The side walls of C185800100014 assembly are 0.05 cm thick stainless steel. The end C185800100015 caps where the beryllium target wafers are situated C185800100016 were also 0.05 cm thick and they were made either of C185800100017 stainless steel or tantalum. Most measurements were C185800100018 performed with the beryllium target wafer placed C185800100019 perpendicular to the incident deuteron beam. C185800100020 In measurements near 90deg of a special target cap C185800100021 which placed a beryllium wafer at 45deg to the deuteronC185800100022 beam was used.
