C191900100023 METHOD (GSPEC,COINC) Polarized beams were used to measure C191900100024 excitation functions at Thetagamma=90 degrees for C191900100025 proton energies between 6.2 and 9.1 MeV. Using the C191900100026 unpolarized proton beam and 15N enriched melamine C191900100027 target 90 degrees excitation functions were measured C191900100028 for incident energies between 2.5 and 6.3 MeV. C191900100029 Information on the gamma-rays from the alpha1, p12, C191900100030 and p3 exit channels was obtained by digitizing the C191900100031 lower energy part of the gamma-spectrum in a second C191900100032 ADC. This second spectrum was prescaled by a factor C191900100033 of 10 and did not have the anticoincidence C191900100034 requirement from the plastic shield surrounding the C191900100035 NaI. C191900100036 ANALYSIS (AREA,PGS,SHAPE) Area of the gamma ray peaks were C191900100037 extracted by fitting experimentally deduced line C191900100038 shapes to the spectra. No background subtraction was C191900100039 necessary for the capture gamma rays. For the C191900100040 reaction gamma rays an empirical background line C191900100041 shape determined at bombarding energies below the p12 C191900100042 threshold was used. In fitting the spectra, the C191900100043 relative separation of observed lines was fixed by C191900100044 the known energy differences of the final states. The C191900100045 width of the line shape for the capture gamma rays C191900100046 was assumed to increase linearly with energy, whereas C191900100047 for the reaction gamma rays the width was kept C191900100048 constant. C191900100049 COMMENT Authors, of this article, assume that readers are C191900100050 familiar with their previous results, references #3-6 C191900100051 and reaction Q-value. Consequently, gamma0 stands for C191900100052 ground-state proton capture, gamma1gamma2 non-ground C191900100053 state captures (6.05, 6.13 MeV) and gamma3gamma4 non- C191900100054 ground state captures (6.92, 7.12 MeV). Essentially, C191900100055 it is about transitions in 16O that involved the C191900100056 ground, first four excited states and observed C191900100057 resonances and M1 and E1 resonance strengths.
