The whole array consisted of C209100100022 downstream end cap detector covering angles 7-27deg, C209100100023 downstream box detector covering polar angles 32-71 C209100100024 deg, upstream box detector covering polar angles C209100100025 103-145 deg and partial upstream end cup detector C209100100026 covering polar angles 148-172 deg. Each detector C209100100027 consisted of four dE-E telescopes made of double C209100100028 sided silicon strip detectors of various thicknesses, C209100100029 backed with thick E detector. Total solid angle C209100100030 coverage was almost 2Pi. C209100100031 (HPGE) Gamma rays were detected by TIGRESS array C209100100032 consisting of eleven clover detectors. The coincidencesC209100100033 with SHARC array was achieved, but because of low C209100100034 statistics gamma ray data were not used. C209100100035 METHOD (EDE) C209100100036 INC-SOURCE The 6He+ beam was produced by impinging a 500 MeV, 75 C209100100037 mu-A proton beam upon a 20.63 g/cm2 ZrC target, and C209100100038 extracted using a forced electron beam induced arc C209100100039 discharge ion source. The 12.24 keV 6He beam was C209100100040 postaccelerated through the ISAC-I (where the beam C209100100041 was also stripped to 2+) and ISAC-II accelerators.
