The absolute efficiencies of separation, C227300100046 typically on the order of 90%, were determined C227300100047 individually for the foils by comparing the 196gAu C227300100048 activity measured before and after separation. C227300100049 ANALYSIS Analysis of multiple decay chains and interfering C227300100050 gamma rays was performed using linear algebra to C227300100051 decouple direct production of a daughter nucleus C227300100052 from ingrowth due to a parent nucleus. At each C227300100053 incident energy a system of matrix equations is set C227300100054 up and diagonalized that contain the decay equations, C227300100055 cross sections, and reaction channels. C227300100056 ERR-ANALYS (DATA-ERR) The cross-section uncertainties were C227300100057 determined from the Hessian matrix, composed of the C227300100058 second derivatives of the chi-squared function with C227300100059 respect to all pairs of parameters.
