C299900100015 ANALYSIS Absolute cross sections were obtained by reducing the C299900100016 beam energy to 24.2 MeV and measuring differential C299900100017 cross sections between 5 and 15 degrees (lab) . C299900100018 Comparing these data which extend into the Rutherford C299900100019 scattering region to optical model predictions C299900100020 yielded absolute cross sections for the 79 MeV data C299900100021 believed accurate to 5%. C299900100022 ERR-ANALYS (ERR-1,1.,5.) Relative cross section accuracy by C299900100023 background subtraction errors in the angular C299900100024 distributions due to statistics.
