The actual thickness of the 32 individual D425200100018 Cr-targets was derived from separate weighing and D425200100019 accurate determination of the area (by scanning of D425200100020 the individual irradiated targets to determine the D425200100021 exact linear dimensions). The variation of target D425200100022 thickness was between 17.8 and 24.3 microns. D425200100023 DETECTOR (HPGE) D425200100024 METHOD (ACTIV,EXTB,EDEG,GSPEC,MOSEP,STTA) For the 50 MeV D425200100025 irradiation at LLN the targets were placed in a D425200100026 custom made Faraday cup like, air cooled target D425200100027 holder with a long collimator, assuring that all D425200100028 incoming charged particles hit the targets. The beam D425200100029 current was kept constant at 110 nA during the 70 min D425200100030 irradiation. No charge integration was available for D425200100031 this irradiation. The 20 MeV deuteron beam D425200100032 irradiation at VUB was performed using our standard D425200100033 water cooled target holder with secondary electron D425200100034 suppression and long collimator. Irradiation took D425200100035 place with a constant 140 nA beam current for 60 min. D425200100036 Total charge on target was collected by an D425200100037 integrator. In order to get a good agreement of the D425200100038 measured and recommended excitation functions the D425200100039 incident energy for he VUB irradiation had to be D425200100040 changed from 20.5 to 20.7 MeV and the current was D425200100041 increased by 28%, while for the LLN beam the current D425200100042 was decreased by 8% and no energy change was needed.
