These targets were deposited D600300100013 on circular aluminium backings of uniform thickness D600300100014 1.14mg/ cm2, spread over a circular area of D600300100015 diameter 15 mm. Thickness of 45Sc was lying between D600300100016 80 to 700 mu-g/cm2. D600300100022 (ERR-1) Fluctuations in the beam current have been D600300100023 incorporated by taking the weighted average of beam D600300100024 current.The error due to this factor is estimated to D600300100025 be less than 4%. D600300100026 (ERR-2) The non-uniformity in the deposition of D600300100027 target material introduces error less than 3% in the D600300100028 estimation on number of nuclei present in the target. D600300100029 (ERR-3) Errors due to uncertainty in detector D600300100030 efficiency were estimated to be less than 5%. D600300100031 (ERR-4) The dead time in the pulse processing D600300100032 electronics may lead to a loss in the counts. By D600300100033 adjusting sample-detector distance, dead-time D600300100034 correction has been minimized, so that dead time is D600300100035 limited below 10%, particularly for the cases where D600300100036 the activity of irradiated sample is large. However, D600300100037 the correction for it has been incorporated by D600300100038 counting the sample in the live time mode of the D600300100039 data acquisition system.
