D610800100033 The clover detectors were mounted at a distance of 24 D610800100034 cm from the target with the accompanying anti-Compton D610800100035 shields. These detectors were arranged in five rings D610800100036 viz., 32 deg, 57 deg, 90 deg , 123 deg, and 148 deg D610800100037 with respect to the beam direction and each detector D610800100038 subtends an opening angle of 29 deg at the target D610800100039 center. The Compton suppressed data were collected in D610800100040 an event-by-event mode with the minimum requirement of D610800100041 threefold prompt gamma -ray coincidence, for which the D610800100042 event rate was 1.6 K/s with the beam current ~ 3 pnA. D610800100043 The coincidence time gate for recording the data was D610800100044 set at about 350 ns. The overall energy resolution in D610800100045 the total projection spectrum of the gamma rays was D610800100046 found to be about 1.8 keV at gamma ray energy 200 keV. D610800100047 METHOD (ABSFY,GSPEC,COINC)Fission fragment mass distribution D610800100048 has been determined from the on-line measurement of D610800100049 individual even-even fragment yields by analyzing the D610800100050 gamma -gamma matrix. In the present work, the D610800100051 independent yield of a particular fragment nucleus has D610800100052 been determined from the coincidence of gamma rays of D610800100053 2+ to 0+ and 4+ to 2+ transitions D610800100054 INC-SOURCE 18-O beam of energy 100 MeV D610800100055 ANALYSIS In the data analysis, a total of ~ 1.9 x 10**8 D610800100056 threefold D610800100057 events have been considered and the gamma - gamma D610800100058 matrix is constructed from the prompt gamma -ray D610800100059 coincidence data. The data were analyzed using RADWARE D610800100060 software to obtain the independent yields of the D610800100061 fission fragments. D610800100062 CORRECTION For some of the nuclei, the gamma rays of 2+ to 0+ D610800100063 and 4+ to 2+ transitions are very close in energy and D610800100064 in such cases their relative yield was determined by D610800100065 gating on higher transitions.
