The F007400100020 second and third detectors give the corresponding F007400100021 signals for the hydrogen-isotopes tritons,deuterons andF007400100022 protons. For Ed=40 MeV the following detector F007400100023 thicknesses were used; for the first telescope in the F007400100024 angular range ANG1=10 degr. to 30 degr. they were 100 F007400100025 mu-m,500 mu-m and 1000 mu-m. The second telescope F007400100026 covering the angular range ANG2=25 degr. to 45degr. wasF007400100027 equipped with detectors 75 mu-m, 300 mu-m and 1000 mu-mF007400100028 thick. F007400100029 SAMPLE The gas cell,32 mm in diameter,has 6.3 mu-m thick HavarF007400100030 entrance and exit windows and was filled with 800 Torr F007400100031 4He. For angles smaller than 10 degr. there was used anF007400100032 elongated target 0f 60 mm length in the beam direction F007400100033 and 24 mm wide,equipped with a 6.3 mu-m thick entrance F007400100034 window and a 12.6 mu-m thick Havar exit window.
