F072400100020 ERR-ANALYS (ERR-T)Total error.The uncertainty of the absolute F072400100021 normalization has many components and these were F072400100022 estimated as follows:+-2% in the number of incident F072400100023 deuterons,+-3% in the target thickness (composed of 1% F072400100024 temperature,+-1% in gas pressure,+-0.25% in gas purity F072400100025 and +-2.5% in target length).The uncertainty in the F072400100026 proton recoil counter measurements was +-10% where the F072400100027 largest contribution (+-9%) is related to the F072400100028 determination of the geometrical factor.The expression F072400100029 for the proton recoil counter efficiency also contains F072400100030 n-p cross section which has been reported to be F072400100031 determined with a precision of +-2% or better.The F072400100032 accuracy of the hydrogen content of the polythene foil F072400100033 was taken to be within 2% and the statistical F072400100034 uncertainty of the measurement was 3%. F072400100035 The statistical errors in the all measurements were F072400100036 less than 1%.
